The Sandi Van Scoyoc Legacy Award

In 2014, the HNH Foundation Board of Directors established the Sandi Van Scoyoc Legacy Award. As the founding HNH Foundation President, the award honors her commitment to improving the health of New Hampshire’s children.

The award recognizes a New Hampshire not-for-profit organization (or an individual who works for a non-profit) that demonstrates exemplary and aspirational commitment or innovation toward improving the health of New Hampshire’s children and families.

In recognition of their work, the recipient receives a check in the amount of $2500*.

Nominees should have advanced best practices in one of the HNH Foundation’s priority areas: increasing access to children's health and dental insurance coverage, promoting oral health prevention, preventing childhood obesity, reducing food insecurity, or preventing and reducing childhood trauma. Nominees are not required to be current or past HNH Foundation grantees.

Criteria

  • A New Hampshire nonprofit organization (or an individual) that has demonstrated an exemplary and aspirational commitment or innovation to "improve the health and wellness of New Hampshire's children and families," specific to an HNH Foundation funding priority.
  • Nominated organizations must be in good standing with the New Hampshire Secretary of State.
  • Nominations should not exceed two pages and should describe:
  1. The nominee’s exemplary and aspirational commitment or innovation toward improving the health of New Hampshire’s children and families
